Dr Lim Kheng Teong is a Family Physician in family medicine with special interests in endocrinology, metabolic medicine, dermatology and paediatric medicine. He obtained his medical degree from Trinity College in Dublin, University of Dublin Ireland in 2002.
He started medical practices at St James’s Hospital in Dublin and completed his general professional training in Internal Medicine in 2005. He subsequently worked as a Specialist Registrar in Metabolic Medicine focusing on diabetes mellitus, endocrinology, hyperlipidaemia, inherited metabolic medicine and laboratory management.
Dr Lim has earned a wide range of experience and exposure working under various postings in the hospitals of Ireland including internal, emergency and paediatric medicine.
In 2010, Dr. Lim obtained his Master in Science (Clinical Chemistry) as part of his specialist training. He was pioneering in the clinical advances and revolutionary researches in Metabolic Medicine to improve testing efficiency and capabilities in Ireland. His work and findings were published in the medical journals.
Apart from managing a medical laboratory and providing diagnostic advice to other practitioners in the hospital, Dr Lim also performed direct rendering of treatment to patients in the hospital by running a specialist clinic in metabolic medicine. Besides, He was assigned to work as a tutor to the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin from 2008 to 2012.
The passion in family medicine led Dr. Lim to Singapore when he decided to join Raffles Medical Group in 2012. Dr. Lim was then appointed as Physician Leader where he managed the operations of medical clinics and supervised doctors under West Coast Cluster. Dr. Lim was frequently invited to conduct public health talks to create awareness and promote healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Lim holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and a Graduate Diploma in Family Practice Dermatology conferred by National University of Singapore. He is also an accredited Family Physician on the Register of Family Physicians in Singapore.
Dr. Lim is multi-lingual and he speaks English, Mandarin, Malay, Hokkien and Cantonese.
Our Role in Primary Care
Healthify Medical Family Clinic is part of the iCARE Primary Care Network, where we work alongside fellow healthcare professionals to support more coordinated and comprehensive care for our family medicine patients.
Through this network, we are able to better support patients in areas such as chronic disease management, preventive health, health screening, care coordination, and long-term medical follow-up.
As a community-based family clinic, we are committed to providing accessible, patient-centred care for individuals and families, while supporting broader primary care efforts in Singapore.
